Our purpose:
Is to expand the capacity of Habitat in communities across South Carolina by increasing access to resources, facilitating communication between affiliates and the community, and providing statewide representation leading to the creation of thriving communities that support families in need.
What we do
Established as the state support office in 2012, Habitat for Humanity South Carolina is a nonprofit housing organization that brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. The affiliate support organization expands the capacity of 27 local affiliates through advocacy, resource development, education and training, and disaster services. Habitat affiliates have built over 3,014 new homes, repaired 1,185 houses, and rehabilitated 167 homes across 37 counties since 1978.
Cost of Home
Over the next five years, we commit to mobilizing our local Habitat organizations, our partners, our volunteers and community members across the country to find the solutions and help create the policies that will allow 10 million individuals to meet their most basic needs.
